  11.    sound ON and then CLICK on Sound Blaster.

  13. BILLY BEAR ...ENCHANTED EASTER storybook requires: 
  14.    VGA and a SOUND BLASTER soundcard or 
  15.    compatable. [This program does not work with PC 
  16.    Speaker. Using the Aria soundcard that comes on 
  17.    the IBM computers, I can not hear the melodies.  
  18.    We have been told that this program is not work 
  19.    with Roland soundcards also.]

  97. program you can obtain a copy through your 
  98. local shareware vendor, BBS, or include

  113. INITIALIZING THE PROGRAM

  115. If installing from a floppy disk with the 
  116. auto-install files:
  117.   
  118. Insert disk in drive A: (or B:)
  119.     Type   A:               Enter
  120.     Type   GOBILLY          Enter
  121.  
  122. To run storybook (if installed at subdirectory 
  123. SDREAM):
  124.     Type   CD \SEASTER      Enter
  125.     Type   SEASTER          Enter
  126.              
  127. TO HEAR THE .CMF MUSIC
  128. To run .CMF music, a Sound Blaster 
  129. sound card - driver SBFMDRV.COM 
  130. must be in resident before running 
  131. the storybook.
  132.  
  133. Check your Sound Blaster directory 
  134. [example used - SB], to see if there 
  135. is SBFMDRV.COM listed. To check the 
  136. directory do the following - If your 
  137. Sound Blaster [SB] is in the C: drive
  138.       
  139.       Type  C:               Enter
  140.       Type  CD\SB            Enter
  141.       Type  DIR              Enter
  142.       Now look for SBFMDRV.COM
  143.  
  144. If you see this listed, go back to the 
  145. storybook directory. We have made a 
  146. BBE.BAT file which will install the 
  147. sound driver for and also run the 
  148. storybook:
  149.     
  150.     Type C:                Enter
  151.     Type CD\SEASTER        Enter
  152.     Type BBE               Enter
  153.  
  154. Now when you open the storybook, you 
  155. should hear .CMF music.
  156.  
  157. If you don't hear the .CMF music, the 
  158. drive and/or directory information may 
  159. need to be changed.  You need a text 
  160. editor utility to edit the file (later 
  161. versions of DOS has the EDIT utility, 
  162. or if you have Windows, use its Notepad 
  163. utility).
  164.     
  165.     For example, if you have EDIT:
  166.      Type C:              Enter
  167.      Type CD\SEASTER      Enter
  168.      Type EDIT BBE.BAT    Enter
  169.  
  170. The DOS editor will now come on your screen.  
  171. The DDBB.BAT is set to find the SB\SBFMDRV 
  172. on the C: drive, if your Sound Blaster [SB] 
  173. is on another drive, change the C: to that 
  174. drive.

  176.   Example: BB.BAT as distributed reads:
  177.       C:\SB\SBFMDRV
  178.       SEASTER
  179.       C:\SB\SBFMDRV /U
  180.  
  181.   My second drive is D:, so I would change it to:
  182.       D:\SB\SBFMDRV

  184.       D:\SB\SBFMDRV /U

  186. Click on SAVE to save your changes.

  188. Read your Sound Blaster book for more 
  189. information if you still can not hear 
  190. the .CMF music in the storybook.
